LAUNCH / Left Field split bill!

July 19, 8pm, Velocity Dance Center

LAUNCH dance theater and Left Field revival present a split bill to benefit Velocity Dance Center. Both companies will perform works which recently premiered as part of Northwest New Works. Email ricki@LAUNCHdancetheater.com for reservations.

LAUNCH will perform pro re nata, a boldly glamorous wartime banging-your-heart-against-a-wall multi-media performance work, featuring organ transplants and flag folding. Choreographer and video artist Ricki Mason is thrilled to be collaborating with writer Rebecca Brown, costume designer Helga Hizer, and dancers Monica Mata Gilliam, Jody Kuehner, and Megan Mertaugh. pro re nata also features guest artist Rhonda Soikowski, lighting design by Hallie Kuperman, and music by Zoe Keating. Currently a twenty-minute work, pro re nata will be developed into an evening length piece to be presented in Spring of 2009 with support from 4Culture.
